Req ID: 61692BR Job Description Aetna's Commercial Sales Analytics Team creates best in class analytics and visualization products and tools to drive Aetna's commercial growth. We are currently looking for an entrepreneurial candidate with experience at the intersection of data science, visualization, and/or product development and management to play a pivotal role in helping transform how our team drives growth. This is a unique opportunity for someone passionate about innovation in using data science and business intelligence products to change how the sales organization operates. The team currently uses an industry leading scalable data platform and techniques to create solutions to challenging business problems, and we are embarking on an effort to bring agile processes and product/user focused development to our data science and visualizations. This is a fast-paced, collaborative and iterative environment in which quick highly motivated, collaborative, and nimble team members thrive. Fundamental Components included but are not limited to: Analytics & Visualization Product development (50%): Work directly with business stakeholders and team members to identify opportunities for new business intelligence products or new features for existing products to drive sales growth and effectiveness Run ideation sessions with users to collaboratively generate requirements and feature sets for immediate production or backlog Create and maintain a suite of user-friendly, best in class products, dashboards, and tools to meet user needs and drive change in the sales organization Follow rigorous and structured testing and feedback gathering processes to ensure user adoption and continuous improvement of products Data engineering and data science (20%): Understand data required to drive impact, and thought partner with the CSA team and the broader analytics community for external data discovery, creation of proprietary data assets, and communicating their use cases Work within CSA and with data engineering colleagues to identify automatable tasks and implement workflows Use strong programming skills to explore, examine, and interpret large volumes of both structured and unstructured data Collaborate with CSA teammates to drive and/or support advanced analysis and modeling projects to uncover sales growth or effectiveness opportunities Communication (20%): Develops and participates in presentations and consultations to existing and prospective constituents on analytics results and solutions. Interacts with internal and external peers and managers to exchange complex information related to areas of specialization Leadership (10%): Exhibit a self-starter, innovative mindset Mentor and collaborate with more junior colleagues within the analytics organization Set clear, measurable professional goals and work with the team to meet them Qualifications Requirements and Preferences: 3 years of industry experience with product development of business intelligence tools used for communicating complex information and insights to sales, marketing, or other commercial organizations Extensive experience with Tableau, Spotfire, Looker, Shiny, and other business intelligence/visualization platforms Demonstrated proficiency with analysis methods, including complex statistical and predictive methods Demonstrated experience working with big data and automating ETL and other data related processes for both analysis and product feeds Working experience with Hadoop, Netezza, Alteryx and related tools Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to business partners Product management experience and/or Scrum certification/experience a strong plus MS degree highly preferred Additional Job Information: Preference for Wellesley, MA (10 miles west of Boston); New York City and Hartford, CT are additional possibilities Benefit Eligibility Benefit eligibility may vary by position.
